What is boudoir photography?
Boudoir - is a French word translated as a woman's bedroom or private sitting room. Therefore, boudoir photography takes place in an intimate setting to create classy, soft romantic images. The focus is to capture you in the most flattering way. What an amazing gift to give or keep for yourself!
What should I wear and/or bring to a boudoir photo shoot?
After paying a deposit of $100 to reserve your appointment, an email will be sent to you with a What to Wear section. Here are a few ideas to get you started! You will also receive a posing guide not to be distributed. For your eyes only! Shhhh!
Bra-panty sets, bustiers, boy shorts, fishnets, thigh high stockings, garter belts, corsets, robes, your partners favorite shirt, favorite teams jersey/shirt, prop like a golf club or bat from your partners favorite sport, favorite teddy bear, fur coat, scarf, western hat & boots, Halloween costumes, fun jewelry and of course high heels......
We can help you put all of your items together once you arrive. Also any favorite music on iPhone, iPod or cds to enhance the fun!
How should I prepare for the session?
* If you are taking advantage of our hair, lashes & airbrushed makeup, please come with your hair & face freshly washed and dried. Your hair washed the night before even better!
* Get plenty of sleep the night before your shoot
* If you plan to wax please do so about 1-2 days before the shoot
* A professional mani & pedi always help
* Don't wear tight clothing that will leave marks on your body, i.e. socks, sports bra
* Spray tan 1-2 days prior
Can I bring a friend to my photo shoot?
Sure, if bringing a friend helps you feel more comfortable in front of the camera, GREAT! We also offer a "Sioree" special.
Do you Photoshop the images?
You are beautiful! However there are hours of photo editing, retouching, cropping, lighting changes which is normal for a standard shoot. We only allow final finished product to leave the studio. After all this is what you are paying for.
Where does a boudoir session take place?
Either at Bedhead studio where there are multiple bedroom setups and a new add on at the beach front just steps away from Bedhead studios or... at a posh hotel! If you have another idea, please contact us to discuss it.
Do you sell CD's of the shoot?
Yes, depending on the package, having the rights to print the edited high resolution pictures is an added option.
I love the picture / pose!
If there is a specific image/ pose / style please email us prior to the shoot so as can do our best to recreate it for you. Also, we offer posing books for you to look through prior and during the session if you would like.
